RE: HELP Main Street Bank answered our call for Help! I have owned a local medical billing business (MD Pro Solutions, Inc.) for 20 Yrs. Our office is located at 54 Main Street, in Lakeville Massachusetts. We employ 35 staff and have a large monthly payroll. We offer full benefits including 100% paid life, short-term, long-term disability and a retirement plan. We applied for the SBA, PPP Loan Program through Santander Bank, N.A. The first day of eligibility on Saturday, April 4 at 3:58AM we submitted our application with all appropriate documents. We were told, and we have proof that we were one of the first companies that filed their application into Santander Bank. We were also told we were in very good shape. We were again told by Santander they would go by order in which applications were received. So, you would assume we were all set. Not so fast!! Our business is down 85% in volume, yet we have kept all staff employed and maintained their full benefits. I received received an email on April 16-2020 at 10:57PM from Santander, that stated they were out of funds for the SBA PPP Loan Program! Out of FUNDS!! Santander bank did not follow the policy as they stated and put forth, otherwise we would have received our PPP Loan. In fact, they mishandled our application and never submitted our paperwork!! This would have all but put us out of business. Then came Main Street Bank to the rescue! What Santander Bank couldn’t deliver and totally mislead us took the professional staff at Main Street Bank less than a day. They took our full application, all our supporting documentation, and filed our loan application to the SBA. Amazingly we had our money in less than 10 days. A small local company doing business in Massachusetts for 20 years could have been put out of business because a large bank didn’t do their Job! These truly are unprecedented times. I have a preexisting condition and was wondering how I could deposit a check. I’m really not one to use mobile apps all that much but I found out that you could deposit a check using your mobile app.
I installed the app and it really was amazing. The first try was denied because of a bad image I took of the back side of the check. I received the an email and was told to try again. I took a better picture and within 5 minutes the check was approved and deposited into my account. Amazing.
One of the easiest apps I have ever used. Bravo to the developers. The response time was amazing. This allowed me to stay safe and I appreciate that very much.
I have been with Main Street Bank since the early “NMSB” days. I believe in using local businesses whenever possible. And your service over the years has been stellar. Getting our SBA loan proved the advantages of going with a local bank. Starting with our first contact involving Sue the manager of the Southboro branch who immediately hooked us up with the key officers who helped us through the application process namely Todd Sibley and Robert Sousa , the entire process went smooth. They were in constant contact with us even into the evening hours and ushered us through the maze of paperwork we needed to provide. We have received our money as promised and cannot praise the staff enough for all their help. I have a credit card with one of the large US banks and have tried to speak with them about an issue and they never call back. It’s been two weeks now. I give up. I just wanted to take the time to compliment Dave Gentleman in your lending department on the unbelievable customer service I received while going through my house refinance. While we are all under the same trying times at the moment which would make any job more difficult, Dave was able to provide much needed guidance and was clear and concise on any questions I presented to him.
In most instances with customer service, you feel like a number. That was clearly not the case in this situation. Dave’s timely responses and professionalism through e-mail and being available to speak on the phone is something I haven’t received in a long time which was very refreshing. His overall upbeat demeanor and easy going personality made this financial transaction process a pleasure to deal with. I am a small business owner and am thrilled with Main Street Bank. I like that I can transfer money, within 2 days to a non-Main Street bank account. I like mobile banking so if I only have a few checks, I can do it from my phone. Very robust IT applications. Then, there’s the employees at Sudbury. Friendly, polite and respectful.
Getting my Heat Loan through Main Street Bank was quick and easy. As soon as I got approved through Mass Save I sent over the documents Main Street Bank needed and was approved the following day. Then we made an appointment that was convenient for my wife and I and we signed the papers. It was taken care of much faster than I thought it would be and made getting things scheduled a lot less stressful because of how quickly I was able to get the checks in hand. I would recommend them to anyone looking to get a Heat Loan.
I’m a trustee of the historic First Church in Marlborough, which just celebrated its 353th birthday this year. The meeting house that rests on the hill above the park on Main Street is about 130 years old. The original meeting house, which was attacked and damaged by Indians during the King Phillip War, was located on Main St. near the old high school building. In late 2018, the trustees realized there were several significant problems relating to the church’s bank accounts as well as with the bank where the accounts were held. As such, a search was conducted to identify a suitable banking partner amongst the many banks in Marlborough. As part of the search, the trustees considered a host of specifics such as costs, location, on-line services, reputation and customer service. After careful consideration of banks in the area, we decided on Main Street Bank. I’m happy to report that the customer service has been wonderful.
Been with Marlboro Savings since 1968 and now Main Street Bank . Bought my home in 1968 from the President Lee Chaplin and they made you feel like family have refinanced twice for a lower rate and know that my house is paid have sent my daughter and many friends to Martin O’ Sullivan who I can’t say enough good things about him.. Marty explains everything in detail and takes his time with you so that you understand everything and if by chance you really can’t afford the mortgage you want will explain what you need to do to so you can comeback and speak with him again because his door is always open. I’ve been banking with the Ayer branch for almost 9 years now. Each staff member has greeted me by name every time since the first time I’ve worked with each of them. They’ve always been happy to help me with the odd request for a transaction inquiry from many years past to the refinance with no doubt the best rate out of the many banks I had to choose from. Felicia is knowledgeable, direct and was a pleasure to work with on financing a very complicated mortgage situation. She got back to me within minutes of any question I sent her way and even helped sort out a major credit report error that could have affected my interest rate on a very condensed schedule. Even though I’ve moved from Ayer, I’ll be keeping my business there for a long time to come because they’ve earned my trust and respect individually as well as an organization.

I had exactly 14 days left to the scheduled closing date of my house, and was not in a position to change the date.
